I started cutting these bamboo grasses in the forest last year.
They keep growing back again and again every summer after getting cut down using their energy stored in their underground stems.
But it obviously seemed like their energy is decreasing with the smaller height of the grasses this year.
I’ll cut them down this year again, and keep doing it a few more years until they don’t come to grow back any more.
It’s getting quite hot here in Japan, so I need to be careful with heatstroke.
I do it early in the morning around 6 to 7am when it’s not too hot.
The forest is getting organized little by little.
Let’s keep the work going!
