A Korean friend who had previously participated in a forest event told us that she really wanted to eat Samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup) in the forest.
So we decided to hold a Korean cuisine event in the forest!
We mainly cooked frozen ingredients and heated them up in the forest, but they were incredibly delicious.
We ate various dishes such as Samgyeopsal (pork belly), Samgyetang, Kimbap (seaweed rice rolls), Zizimi (Korean pancake), Tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), and more.
Samgyeopsal(pork belly) was especially popular, and everyone couldn’t stop eating it!
In addition, we also had a dish similar to Suiton (hand-pulled dough soup), which was chewy and tasty.
We had eight participants from Japan, Korea, Vietnam, UK, and Peru this time.
It’s challenging to prepare the ingredients and adjust the amount of food, especially because we usually have some last-minute cancellations,
but everyone did enjoy the event, so we’d like to do it occasionally. 🙂
The participation fee for this event is used for the cost of holding the event and maintaining the forest.
Please check out the one-minute short video of this event that I made:
